JOB SUMMARY:

Provide prompt, courteous customer service while leading the teller staff in customer service excellence. Present a neat, clean professional appearance as a role model to others. Maintain a working knowledge of bank products and services to recognize cross sell opportunities and assist others. Lead and coach the teller staff on the bank's policies and procedures ensuring compliance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and coach the teller staff for customer service excellence.
  • Coordinate scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing.
  • Comply with all Teller Standards, Teller Responsibilities and bank procedures.
  • Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers through accuracy, efficiency and confidentially.
  • Works closely with Assistant Branch Manager in interviewing, selecting and training new tellers.
  • Back-up and support to Assistant Branch Manager and Deposit Accounts position.
  • Recognize opportunities to offer and/or refer bank products and services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Assists customers with online banking products and other online access.
  • Demonstrate dependability and flexibility in performing the duties of this position including bank activities and community service.
  • Participate in available training to strengthen job knowledge.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time. The ability to sit, bend, squat, twist and lift/carry coin bags weighing up to 50 lbs. is also required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent and two years teller experience including cash handling/balancing, customer service, knowledge of products and services is required. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
