Position Description
Position Title: OCC Resources Coordinator
Department: Advancement
Reports to: Director of OCC Resources
The mission of the OCC Resources Department is to train men and women for ministry and strengthen partnerships by providing mission-centric resources for churches, individuals, and organizations. Institutional Goals supported by Department: IG 4, 5
A. Summary
The OCC Resources Coordinator manages the daily operations, systems, and execution of departmental projects and strategic initiatives. By owning project workflows, tracking metrics, managing cohort operations, and collaborating with content creators, this role equips and strengthens OCC’s ministry partners through the resources we create.
B. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Champion Department Communications: Manage clear, encouraging, and intentional communication across all department initiatives.
2. Guide Social Media & Digital Storytelling: Oversee the OCC Resources social media presence. Plan creative content, engage our online community, and share stories and tools that encourage local church leaders.
3. Shepherd Book Publishing Projects: Encourage authors, track milestones, keep schedules moving, and route manuscripts and files seamlessly between writers, editors, and publishing.
4. Serve Ministry Cohorts: Manage communication, operations, and administrative systems for participants and coaches across all Ministry Cohorts.
5. Create Smooth, Repeatable Systems: Build templates, simple standard operating procedures (SOPs), and shared project boards (Asana/Trello) that keep our team aligned and reduce friction in daily tasks.
6. Translate Data into Insights: Review performance dashboards and reports created by our team assistant. Celebrate wins, spot meaningful trends, and partner with the Director to turn numbers into actionable, mission-focused decisions.
7. Partner in Execution: Partner with the Director in planning, structuring, and executing major department initiatives and resource rollouts.

C. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Proven success managing multi-step project lifecycles, tracking milestones, and maintaining contributor accountability using management software (Asana, Trello, Slack).
2. Strong background in executing broad communication strategies and managing official social media channels.
3. Ability to interpret dashboard data trends and translate numbers into clear strategic recommendations for leadership.
4. Skill in creating functional standard operating procedures (SOPs) and organized workflows.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface effectively with faculty, ministry authors, external vendors, and coaches.
6. Proficient in standard office suites and familiarity with content platforms (LMS, CRM, SIS).
7. Understanding of or willingness to learn higher education and ministry environments.
D. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Bible, theology, or Christian ministry preferred
2. Prior experience in project management and/or content development
3. Three years of experience in vocational ministry in a church or Christian non-profit preferred
E. Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This role includes the routine use of regular office equipment such as computers, telephone systems, and data systems. This role requires prolonged computer use, and the ideal candidate must be able to focus and concentrate on the screen with precision.
