Midcon is looking for an ‘owner’ to excel in Midcon’s fast-paced, diverse environment.

Midcon Cables Company, a leading provider of cabling and wire interconnect solutions for the defense and aerospace industry has immediate openings for a Quality Inspector on day shift at our facility in Joplin, MO.

This position requires an individual with good people and communication skills for strong working relationship with inspector team, Quality and Manufacturing Engineers, production floor personnel and customers. Individual must be willing to work overtime as required. This position will be cross-trained to inspect multiple assemblies across multiple programs.

Experience in cable assembly, the ability to read and interpret drawings (including schematics), and ability to use inspection instruments (such as scale, tape measure, micrometers, calipers, etc.) is preferred. Also prefer someone who has a familiarity with the requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620C for workmanship and the solder criteria of ANSI-J-STD-001 as well as the ability to understand military specifications and customer requirements. Position requires good computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Excel/Word as well as the ability to learn new software programs. Individual must also be able to work under a microscope to inspect product.

The QA Inspector will be expected to follow instructions, work without direct supervision and continually look for ways to improve the inspection efficiency. This position requires someone with good attendance and is detail oriented.

Base Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
