Interdepartmental
· Department engagement includes but is not limited to: Assembly, Production, Product Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Customer Service.
· In-Shop support for quality issues including skill utilization and limitations.
· Work closely with inspection, calibration and maintenance to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.
· Understand all forms of quality checks and balances MAPP utilizes in achieving excellence.
· Provide feedback on quality and safety concerns to the organization.
· Facilitate discussions on product quality reviews
· Review quality metrics to identify trend data.
· Create internal certifications and review supplier certifications to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.
· Review and support First Article Reviews prior to shipment.
· Support internal, 3rd party, and customer audits.
· Ensure internal process requirements follow industry standard.
Data responsibilities
· Collect quality data for inbound receipts and outbound assembly to identify and review trends in quality (first duty to bring the Quality and CCA modules in Profit Key online and in use)
· Track rework costs and identify methods to reduce in-shop rework.
· Assist internal and external auditors in a helpful, professional manner on and offsite.
· Enhance and maintain a Quality Management System providing continuous improvements to all products manufactured by the organization to meet or exceed customer specifications
· Direct and facilitate the collection and analysis of data
Managerial
· Manage time and resources available to efficiently respond to any requirement related to the quality of the system or product in a prioritized, quantifiable manner
· Provide departmental and company leadership promoting the use of key management principles, supervision of direct reports, and others related to the quality department function
· Formulate and maintain quality objectives coordinated with the business, product and customer expectations in mind
· Participate in cross-functional teams to support project objectives, evaluate alternative processes and routing approaches, and develop detailed plans and timelines.
· Present updates and departmental information at various company meetings
· Responsible for management of quality hold area. Track and minimize quality hold inventory and reduce scrap.
· Communicate to all necessary formats conveying quality information to required parties
· Participate in meetings and provides training, as required
Required Qualifications:
· Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook, Teams
· Profit key experience preferred.
· Net-Inspect experience preferred.
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong written and verbal communication
· Must possess US Citizenship
