We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team. You'll be a key player in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities, allowing you to utilize your skills and experience in a challenging and rewarding environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair a wide range of manufacturing equipment and site infrastructure, following preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues on automated equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to increased efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, R&D, Engineering) on projects involving new equipment design and installation.
  • Ensure all work complies with company health and safety policies.

What you'll bring:

  • Certificate III – Mechanical Trade (Fitting and machining)
  • Proven experience in a food manufacturing or related industry (essential)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with pneumatics (essential)
  • Ability to weld (TIG and MIG) and carry out minor fabrication work
  • Experience with automated plant and mechanical machine timing
  • Experience with packaging equipment (Case packers/Thermoformers/Conveyors) is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Desirable (but not essential):

  • D Class Electrical License
  • Forklift License
  • SAP and Microsoft Office experience
