Manufacturing Engineer III The successful candidate will determine the optimal manufacturing methods and process for producing company motors and resolvers efficiently. Understanding of lean improvement methodology, ergonomics, time studies for reducing waste and excess, line balancing, 6S, Kaizens, etc. Who are we? We specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications. Our Facility in Carson, CA is our Engineered Products Group location, which houses our Human Machine Interface, Motion Control Device, Radiofrequency Departments. Job Summary Create and lead continuous improvement projects utilizing lean and six sigma tools. Lead cross functional teams to support RCCA activities on CARs and DMRs. Lead the development of manufacturing processes, procedures, and tooling for new products. Lead the implementation efforts for new manufacturing equipment. Design manufacturing processes, work instructions and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, and material handling. Train production personnel on the proper use and execution of tools, processes, and procedures. Support production operations and personnel on technical issues. Estimate labor hours for new and existing products. Create and update routing information (cycle times, notes, etc.). Communicate with customers, vendors, and suppliers on projects on technical issues as required. Design, test, and validate tooling and fixtures. Create data collection plans to parts and processes when necessary to understand process behavior.
