We specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications. Job Summary Design and build tooling to meet CTP’s fabrication needs Maintain digital/electronic data. Program and operate CNC equipment Analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates Evaluates tool designs and coordinates with engineering for appropriate changes. Analyzes and designs machine holding fixtures for parts. Computes angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures, and outlines sequence of operations required to machine part. Prepares geometric layout using MasterCAM software to show location of reference points and direction of cutting paths. Writes instruction sheets, check sheets, and cutter lists to guide setup and operation of machine. Write programs for multi- axis CNC milling machines / routers. Resolves CNC program and associated manufacturing issues with all relevant departments. Support manufacturing and other departments as an internal customer. Perform cost analysis and tradeoff improvement studies. Create operation sheets, tool drawings, and detail drawings. Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area. Other duties as assigned.
