CNC Operator We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Operator to join our team in Warren, RI. The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment to meet precise dimensional and surface finish specifications. This role requires the ability to edit and optimize machine programs at the CNC control console and ensure all products meet quality standards. Who are we? Excellent company culture – as recognized by Newsweek’s Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces Clean and climate controlled working environment Opportunity for career growth Great benefits including paid vacation and sick time, 401K match, Employee Stock Purchase Program, annual bonus plan, and tuition reimbursement Essential Functions: • Responsible for completing machine set ups and operating some or all CNC equipment with minimal supervision • Makes machine tool offsets or adjustments as needed to maintain print specifications • Responsible for maintaining operator level dimensional quality using various inspection tools and the operator self-inspect system • Responsible for maintaining operator level visual quality of the product by inspecting for visual defects such as dents, burrs, scratches, etc. • Runs multiple machines as required by process or as directed • Performs and trains on complex set-ups on all shop CNC machines • Produces product on CNC or manual machines to meet or exceed the requirements of department standards • Load and unload machines as per the cycle time noted on the router • Determines when wheels and/or tools need replacement • Makes machine tool offsets or adjustments as needed • Studies part drawings, set up sheets, work order instructions, and other necessary process instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences • Performs work in a safe manner by following all safety rules • Stops work is an unsafe condition is identified • Reports safety concerns immediately with management • Takes initiative and makes decisions based on known policies and procedures with minimal supervision • Participates with the efforts of total quality and process improvement by recommending methods, equipment, techniques, and other changes to improve machine shop operations through active participation in Process Improvement Teams or meetings • Identifies any production problems and notifies cell lead or supervisor. • Assist in determining tools and fixture needs • Maintain proper documentation of data and collaborate with management staff and supervisor • Supports troubleshooting efforts • Responsible for storing and handling all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) appropriately to prevent unauthorized access, dissemination, or use of this information or documentation. • Support all visitor and security policies to protect ITAR/EAR/CMMC/CUI information, documents, product, etc. from unauthorized access by informing management immediately of any concerns. • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in employee’s work area. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Regular and acceptable attendance is an essential function of this job.
